Coral Catch
The reef is female.
On a small island in Indonesia, there’s an organization creating change beneath the surface. This is Coral Catch. Their mission is to empower 100 Indonesian women by 2030 to pursue careers in marine conservation. Through hands on coral restoration, education, and mentorship. Through scholarship program, these women gain the skills, experience, and confidence to actively restore coral reefs and lead conservation efforts within their own communities. It’s not just about science, it’s about creating opportunity, building confidence, and supporting long term change. While progress has been made, a gender gap still exists in marine science and the dive industry. Coral Catch is helping to close that gap by creating space for more women to lead, both underwater and beyond.
Because protecting our oceans isn’t just about ecosystems, it’s about people, too.
